Merch Control ("we", "us") provides custom branded merchandise, decoration and fulfilment services in Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us. Through the quote form and the contact form on this site, that is:
- your name, email address and phone number
- your company or organisation name, and your general location
- details of the job you are asking us about, including quantity, deadline, product types and any brief or artwork description you write
Our website is hosted by Shopify, which also records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
We do not take payments through this website, so we do not collect or store card or bank details here.
Why we collect it
To prepare and send you a quote, to answer your enquiry, to deliver work you engage us for, and to keep in touch with you about that work. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
Only where it is needed to do the job, and only with parties who need it: our website and email providers, and manufacturing or freight partners where your job requires it. Some of these providers store data outside Australia. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Your artwork and your brand
Any logos, artwork or brand materials you send us remain yours. We use them only to quote, produce and deliver your job. We will ask you before showing any finished work publicly, including on this site or on social media.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and job records for as long as we need them for the job and for our business and tax records, then delete or de-identify them.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@merchcontrol.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
